Out and About

These oil paintings are an act of faith and hope- uncertain how each painting will evolve, only certain they will.  Painting begins with an attention to color and general composition, hoping for connection with the scene's natural order and chaos.  This drama determines the movement and focus of the painting- swooping lines, energetic gestures, and deep spaces.  The process is comforting and meditative, making visual an authentic energy; like a companion reminding us to be hopeful and connected.
